DEPARTMENT OF PRIMARY INDUSTRIES & REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT operates remotely-operated cameras at certain boat ramps, groynes and shore-based locations across Western Australia to assist in monitoring recreational fishing. All cameras are registered with the Western Australian Police and signs are place at every location to alert members of the public that they may be under video surveillance. No personal information such as number plates is recorded. Footage should only be viewed for the purposes of departmental research and ongoing investigations.
